Elizabeth Brewer’s Honey Cake

Ingredients

• 2 cups flour
• 1 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp baking soda
• ½ tsp salt
• 2 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 scant tsp allspice
• 1 tsp cinnamon
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tbsp lemon rind
• 1 tbsp orange rind
• 1 tbsp marmalade
• 4 tsp oil
• 1 tbsp whiskey
• 1 cup hot honey
• 1 cup strong coffee
