Broccoli Cheese Soup with optional Popcorn topping - Tuttle Orchards

Ingredients

• 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
• 1 medium onion chopped (or use garlic scapes 1/4 cup)
• 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 3 cups milk
• 2 teaspoons cornstarch
• 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
• 3 cups Tuttle's broccoli florets (very small)
• 1 cup popped popcorn, if desired
