Pork Belly and Vegetable Wontons in Corn Broth | Little Fat Boy
These berkshire pork belly wontons (costs a bit more but tastes so much better) are a rich flavor bomb while mushrooms and Taiwanese cabbage in a savory sweet corn broth.
Ingredients
- 300g flour (2 cups)
- 3/4 cups boiling water
- 2/3 tsp salt
- 5 cups strained Taiwanese cabbage (1/2 a large head)
- 1/2 pound pork belly, skin off (ground or very finely chopped)
- 1/2 pound ground pork
- 1 cup packed shiitake mushrooms (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon + 1/2 tsp kosher salt, divided
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic (about 3 medium cloves)
- 2 teaspoons zested fresh ginger
- 4 teaspoons brown sugar
- 3 corn on the cobs
- 4 shiitake mushrooms
- 1 sweet onion (chopped)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 tbsp of butter
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Scallions
- Fennel fronds
- Black sesame seeds
- Green scallion oil
