Haleem recipe by Faadila Naveed Ahmad

Ingredients

• 1 kilo knuckle bones &meat pieces or chicken...
• 1 teaspoon turmeric
• 1 tablespoon salt
• A little water
• ½ c rice
• ½ c crushed wheat
• ½ c barley
• ½ c chana dhal
• ½ c yellow moong dhal (green pea lentil)
• ½ cup pink dhal
• ½ cup urad white mash dhal
• 2 cup Oats. Boil seperate.
• add:
• 2 large onion
• 2 tablespoon whole cumin
• 8 cinnamon sticks
• 10 whole cardomom
• A few cloves
• A few black peppers
• 5 whole green chillies - slit in half
• 2 tablespoon Ground Red chillies
• 1½ teaspoon turmeric
• Salt to taste
• 4 tablespoon Ginger / garlic mix
• 1 ½ tablespoon coriander powder
• 1 tablespoon cumin powder
• Add everything in large pot. Add water.
• Half the recipe to make less.
