Curtis Stone’s strawberry pandowdy – Gourmet Traveller

Ingredients

• 265 gm plain flour, plus extra for dusting
• 190 gm caster sugar
• 190 gm chilled unsalted butter, cut into 1cm cubes
• 40 gm cornflour
• ½ tsp ground cardamom
• ½ tsp ground cinnamon
• ½ tsp ground ginger
• 1.2 kg (about 5 punnets) strawberries, hulled and halved
• Finely grated rind and juice of ½ small orange
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tbsp milk
• Icing sugar and ice-cream, to serve
