Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs green beans, in 1 inch pieces
- 2 medium yellow onions, chopped
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 3 large ripe tomatoes, chopped
- 2 1/2 quarts chicken stock or 2 1/2 quarts vegetable stock
- 1/2 cup vermicelli or 1/2 cup other thin noodles, broken into small pieces
- 1 cup fresh basil leaf, firmly packed
- 1/3 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 teaspoons chopped fresh garlic
