• 6 large eggs
• 2 ½ cups whole milk
• 1 cup half-and-half
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 tbsp vanilla
• ¼ tsp salt
• ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
• 1 ½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
• 1 ½ cup pecans, toasted and chopped
• A pinch of cinnamon and nutmeg, optional
