Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon cream of tartar
• 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
• 1 large egg
• 2 tablespoons milk
• 1⁄2 tablespoon coconut extract
• 3-1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour

• 1 cup sweetened flaked coconut, toasted*
• Dark Chocolate Glaze:
• 3⁄4 cup Ghirardelli 60% Cacao Bittersweet Chocolate Baking Chips
• 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 2 cups powdered sugar
• 1 tablespoon light-color corn syrup
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1⁄4 cup hot water
