Manitoba Venison Tacos with Cabbage Slaw - The Arts Incubator

Ingredients

• 1 lb venison (shoulder or roast), cut into chunks
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 1 onion, chopped
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 tsp ground cumin
• 1 tsp smoked paprika
• 1 tsp chili powder
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 cup beef or vegetable broth
• 8 small corn tortillas
• 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
• 1 cup carrots, shredded
• 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
• Juice of 2 limes
• 1 tbsp honey
• Salt, to taste
• Fresh herbs and wildflowers, for garnish
