Sardine Tsumire-jiru Recipe (Miso Based Fish Ball Soup with Vegetables) - Cooking with Dog
We are making Tsumire-jiru, fish ball soup, by mincing sardine fillets. It’s like the tsumire ball dissolves in my mouth. So delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 Sardine (net weight: 130g/4.6 oz for 2 people)
- 1/2 tsp Miso
- 1 tsp Grated Ginger Root
- 1/2 tsp Sake
- 1 tsp Cake or All Purpose Flour (substitute: any type of flour or potato starch)
- 600 ml Water
- 1 sheet Dashi Kombu Seaweed (5x5cm/2"x2")
- 60 g Daikon Radish
- 20 g Carrot
- 1 tbsp Sake
- 40 g Long Green Onion (Naganegi)
- 2 tbsp Miso
- Shichimi Chili Pepper
