Ingredients

• 1 tbsp vegetable oil
• 400 g sausages
• 150 g bacon, cut into chunks
• 1 red onion, thinly sliced
• 1 garlic cloves, finely grated
• 1/2 tsp hot chilli powder
• 300 g can chopped tomatoes
• 150 ml chicken stock
• 1 tbsp tomato purée
• 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
• 10 g brown sugar, (0.5 tbsp)
• 1/2 tsp mixed herbs
• 2 sprigs thyme
• 1 bay leaves
• 50 ml red wine, (optional)
• 300 g butter beans, drained and rinsed
• 200 g crusty bread
