Ingredients

• 4 apples, juicy ones
• ¾ cup water
• 2 teaspoons cornstarch
• Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
• 1 cup walnuts or pecans, chopped
• 2 tablespoons maple syrup
• 1 tablespoon Fustini’s Red Apple or Cinnamon Pear balsamic
• 1 teaspoon cinnamon
• ⅛ ground clove
• ½ cup brown sugar, packed
• 5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted (can substitute vegan butter)
• Pinch of salt
