My Citrus Cacao Cookies are zesty + decadent. Inspired by my friend, Veggiecurean, these brilliantly combine citrus + chocolate in one amazing treat!
Ingredients
- 3/4 C dark maple syrup
- 1/4 C safflower oil
- 1 T cornstarch, dissolved in 1 T warm water
- 1 T vanilla bean paste
- 1 T lemon juice
- 1 T lemon zest
- 1 T blood orange zest
- 1 T blood orange juice
- 1 C unbleached cake flour
- 1/3 C whole wheat pastry flour
- 3 T cacao powder
- 1/2 t baking powder
- 1/4 t baking soda
- dash of salt
