- 4 nuggets preserved ginger, finely sliced
- ½ cup (125ml) flaked almonds, lightly toasted in a dry pan
- 4 cups (1 litre) good quality ready-made custard
- ½ cup (125ml) cream
- Extra whole cherries, nuts and sliced preserved figs
