• 1 cup butter, softened
• 2 1/2 cups sugar
• 4 eggs
• 1 tsp. vanilla
• 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 cup buttermilk
• 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1 teaspoon ground allspice
• 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
• 1 cup chopped pecans
• 1 (11.5 oz.) jar pear preserves, heat in microwave enough to warm up and mix up a bit so it will blend throughout batter
