Ingredients

  • Combine ground beef, salt, black pepper,turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, cardamom, coriander, chopped parsley, yogurt, chopped garlic, and red onion and flour into a large bowl and mix well.
  • Portion meat mixture into balls with level firmly packed No. 16 scoop (1⁄4 cup) into the baking pan. Make sure the ground beef meatballs cover the entire pan.
  • Pour the tahini paste, lemon juice, olive oil and salt into a bowl and mix together. Add water texture and it is creamy. Set aside for later use.
  • Cover the baking pan with aluminum foil and create small holes to let the steam exit during cooking.
  • Simmer the spiced ground beef in conventional oven: 350 ℉ for 15 minutes or until internal temperature is above 165 ℉. Do not overcook.
  • Remove meatballs from the oven and spread tahini sauce mix evenly on top of the meatballs.
  • Return to the oven uncovered and broil for 10 minutes or until the top layer has browned.
  • Remove from the oven and let the pan cool for 5 minutes.
