• 1 medium onion, chopped
• 1/4 cup margarine
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
• 1/2 teaspoon salt
• 1/4 teaspoon pepper
• 1/4 teaspoon sage
• 1 can cream of chicken soup
• 1 quart chicken broth
• 3-4 cups chopped cooked chicken or turkey
• 2 (15-ounce) cans mixed vegetables, drained
• 8 (9-inch) pie shells, unbaked
