Maple Syrup Scented Scones

Ingredients

• Scones:
• 3 cups (750 mL) Five Roses® All Purpose Bleached White Flour All Purpose Bleached White Flour
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) packed brown sugar
• 1 tbsp (15 mL) baking powder
• 1/2 tsp (2 mL) baking soda
• 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
• 3/4 cup (175 mL) All Vegetable Shortening, cold, cut into 1/2” (1.3 cm) pieces
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) 35% whipping cream
• 1/2 cup (125 mL) pure maple syrup
• Maple Glaze:
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) 35% whipping cream
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) pure maple syrup
• 2 tbsp (30 mL) icing sugar
