• 1 brown onion, sliced
• 80g mixed chilli , cut into rounds
• 3 cloves of garlic, minced
• 1 spring onion , sliced diagonal
• 2 tsp white pepper
• 2 cod fillets
• 100g plain flour
• 1 tsp Chinese 5 spice
• pinch of white pepper
• pinch of msg
• 1 tsp salt
• 2 maris Piper Potatoes (per person)
• neutral oil (for frying)
