- 170 g butter (dairy or dairy free), plus extra to grease
- 200 g medium oatmeal
- 200 g wholemeal flour
- 3 tsp ground ginger
- ½ tsp ground nutmeg
- 175 g soft dark brown sugar
- ⅓ tsp fine salt
- 1 ½ tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 1 egg
- 45 ml milk (dairy or plant milk)
