Ingredients

• 1 cup sugar
• 1 1/2 cups sliced natural almonds (This means with skins.)
• 1/2 cup cornmeal
• 1/4 cup flour
• 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 2 jumbo eggs
• 1/2 cup Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
• 1/2 cup milk
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
• 2 pints fresh strawberries
