Brown Stew Recipe

Ingredients

• 3 tablespoon Fat
• 1 Garlic clove, cut in half
• 2 lb Beef chuck cut 1½ " cubes
• 2 teaspoon Salt
• ¼ teaspoon Pepper
• 1 teaspoon Worchestershire sauce
• 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
• 1 sm Bay leaf
• 4 cups Hot water
• 3 md Potatoes peeled and halved
• 4 Carrots, peeled & cut in 1/3
• 1 cups Celery cut in 1" pieces
• 1 cups Lima beans, cooked
• 1 cups Peas, cooked
• ¼ cups Flour
• ½ cups Water
