Saffron Biscotti | Saveur
Based on a recipe from Stockholm's famed Vete-Katten bakery, these saffron-spiced biscotti are shorter and fatter than traditional ones.
Ingredients
- 3 cups flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> tsp. kosher salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 4 tbsp. unsalted butter, softened
- 1 tbsp. orange zest
- 1 tsp. saffron, lightly crushed
- 2 eggs
- <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>4</sub> cup milk
- 3 <sup>1</sup>⁄<sub>2</sub> oz. dark chocolate, chopped
- Pearl sugar, for garnish
