Ingredients
- 225g unsalted butter (at room temperature), plus extra for greasing
- 225g white caster sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large free-range eggs
- 225g self-raising flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 splash of milk
- FILLING
- 200ml double cream
- 1 vanilla pod
- 1½ tablespoon of icing sugar, plus extra for dusting
- 250g fresh strawberries
