Sticky Apple Pudding Recipe | King Arthur Baking
Half steamed British pudding and half French tarte tatin, this apple pudding combines the warm flavors of early fall.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons (28g) butter, cold, cut in 1/2" cubes
- 5 cups (567g) apples, peeled, cored, and chopped (about 4 medium apples)
- 2 tablespoons (21g) King Arthur Pie Filling Enhancer or 3 tablespoons (21g) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tablespoon (14g) granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon or King Arthur Apple Pie Spice
- 1/4 cup (28g) walnuts, chopped
- 2/3 cup (193g) caramel, cut from a block, or 20 to 22 individual pieces
- 1 tablespoon (14g) milk or heavy cream, cold
- 7 tablespoons (99g) unsalted butter, melted
- 2/3 cup (131g) granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (99g) King Arthur Unbleached Self-Rising Flour
- 1/8 teaspoon table salt, heaping
- 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon or King Arthur Apple Pie Spice
