Ingredients

• 12 frozen prepared meatballs, thawed
• 2/3 jar (24 oz) passata (puréed, strained tomatoes)
• 2 tbsp olive oil
• 2/3 small onion, finely chopped
• 2 clove garlic, minced
• 1/2 tsp ground cumin
• 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
• 1/4 tsp chili flakes
• 1 bay leaves
• 1/4 tsp each salt and pepper
• 2 tbsp finely chopped fresh cilantro
