Pork Cooked in Cider over Egg Noodles – Grandma's Frozen Noodles
This dish is our Fall family favorite that we only have when fresh pressed apple cider is in season. A perfect recipe to ring in the cold weather!
Ingredients
- 2 ½ pounds pork cubes (a Boston butt or a picnic roast are shoulder cuts that would be good choices for this slow, moist cooking method)
- 1 cup All-Purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup neutral oil for sautéing (grapeseed, sunflower, or canola)
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 lb carrots (about 4), peeled and sliced into ½ inch slices
- 6-7 cups of fresh apple cider
- 1, 16 oz package of Grandma’s Frozen Egg Noodles
- Additional salt and pepper to taste
